"The world of pioneering artist Chris Foss consists of giant mechanical structures floating in space, anthropomorphized computers and sparsely populated alien landscapes. Heavily featured on the covers of novels by Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke and Philip K. Dick, Foss’ illustrations have distilled the look of science fiction and the popular imagination of the future. "
